Running uninterruptible gaming workloads that need dedicated port allocations might seem like an odd choice for Kubernetes, but it doesn’t have to be difficult. Agones, an open-source project, makes this possible for operators and developers alike. In this talk, I will demonstrate how to deploy a fleet of gameservers to multiple Kubernetes clusters running Agones using Google Cloud Game Servers (GCGS). I will deploy a server running SuperTuxKart across several clusters and allocate one of those servers for my client to use.

You will learn:
– How to install Agones in a Kubernetes cluster
– How Agones manages the lifecycle of gameservers
– How to use GCGS to deploy a fleet of gameservers across multiple clusters
– How to use Agones to allocate gameservers for dedicated game sessions
